OUR KARATE PROGRAMS:
We believe that it is never too late to begin to
train in the martial arts.  Though very young
children may not be ready to concentrate at the
necessary level, we would love the opportunity to
have your children aged 4 years and up come and
try a class.
Lone Star Karate
& Self-Defense
KIDS PROGRAM:
We have classes for  beginners and advanced kids. These
classes teach our core Karate curriculum, but focus on
real-life "stranger danger" type situations, so that children
learn how to avoid danger rather than face it when they
have a choice. We also encourage the "sport" of Karate at
this level by participation in the tournament team events.
LITTLE NINJA PROGRAM:
Kids aged 4-7 start in our beginner
class.  These kids are not tested at the
same pace as their older classmates,
but get an introduction to the art of
Karate. The emphasis is on fun, but
kids learn the basics of Karate as well.
ADULT BEGINNER PROGRAM:
Whether you are just starting out and want to watch that
expanding mid-section, or whether you are an experienced
martial artist still wanting a place to train, Lone Star has a
class to suit your needs. Our beginner adult classes focus on
stretching, agility, and Karate basics, while our more
advanced students are pushed to test their endurance and
technical ability.
ADVANCED PROGRAM:
Red belt ranks and above of all
ages.  These classes are intended to
test your endurance and to
fine-tune your skills as you prepare
for your Shodan (Black Belt) rank.
FAMILY PROGRAM:
We are now offering beginner adult classes at the same time as our
beginner kids classes.  Get off that chair!!
PRIVATE LESSONS:
Sometimes a student needs a little extra help with certain
activities. This can be due to extended time off or just not
"getting it" from the general classroom instruction. We offer
private lessons for these students so that an instructor can work
with them in a one-on-one setting to maximize their focused
learning.
TOURNAMENT TEAM:
The sport of Karate has become a national institution. We
have a number of students who compete in the A.O.K.
(Amateur Organization of Karate) Tournament League.
We are also members of the Gulf Coast Karate League,
which is a local (Houston-area) tournament league,
designed to offer a more family friendly environment, and
is intended to provide a more congenial tournament
atmosphere than the highly competitive A.O.K.
